Upstate South Carolina Democratic Socialists of America (UDSA) is the Upstate SC chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the United States. We have members across the upstate working to build Socialism right here in South Carolina.
Membership
We welcome all people and non-members to our public events (protests, canvasses, classes, socials, and more). Membership to the national Democratic Socialist of America and residency in Upstate SC are the only requirements to become a member. As a member of our chapter you are able to vote in our chapter elections, hold elected office within the organization, and shape the work our chapter engages in.
We are run fully by our members who volunteer their time to organize in their communities. To facilitate that work we have committees, working groups, officers, and more. We cover the specifics on our chapter structure page.
